ABOUT

Global Gardens Project is a community growing project based in Cardiff.

Our vision is to create a growing space that supports community-based sharing of food and cultures.

We have an allotment site where we are cultivating an organic kitchen garden, celebrating crops from around the world.

The crops grown are used in our quarterly community suppers and shared within the local community.

We also have a mobile pizza oven which is available for community events.

This green tomato and apple chutney is one of best things we've tasted here at Global gardens. Our gardener Kai brought it to share at lunch and we were so impressed by how sweet and fruity it was that we had to ask for a recipe.

350ml White vine vinegar

It’s courgette season and with every courgette I harvest, or get given by some courgette weary folks, I get to try out a new recipe. This is a simple one: it takes only two ingredients - courgette and salt.

If you’ve ever had a go at fermenting ve...

This is a very simple recipe from an ‘Innocent’ smoothie recipe book which I made minor changes to. It’s wonderful for using up harvest that’s coming out about now. This is why it’s very likely you’ve got most of the ingredients growing in your garden or a nearby park.

2 apples  or 1/2 cup of apple juice

1-2 handfuls of blackberries

2-3 teaspoons of honey

200g of yogurt/vegan yogurt
