GLOBAL GARDENS ALUMNI
Kate Briton was our first 'Gardeniser' intern at Global Gardens, training course with Social Farms and Gardens in 2019.
Over the last few years, she has been farming and gaining training in agroecological horticulture and is now growing in south-west England and involved in the Land Workers Alliance.
Lucy Smith was our first writer-in-resident at Global Gardens in 2019. She is a writer of short stories and flash fiction and loves writing that says a
lot with very few words. She is also creator of Talking Ink, a monthly podcast that showcases local flash fiction writers and poets.
Lucy continues to run creative writing workshops at Global Gardens.
Izzy was our lead student volunteer between 2018-2020.

Shaun was our outreach coordinator between 2018-2019. He went on to work at Oasis Cardiff as a Project Worker.
Vaida was the Global Gardens harvest and food coordinator between 2017-2021.She shared her inspiration of cooking with locally grown seasonal produce and looking for inspiration from different world cuisines and traditional cooking.
Steph facilitated the Veggie Tales sessions at Gardens Global. Steph is a dietitian, gardener and plant-based chef. She is interested in encouraging access to good nutrition through gardening and cooking.
