She is a gardener and researcher and interested in learning about different
cultures and ecology
through growing veg.
Johana is a Cardiff-based artist, arts facilitator and Forest School leader who runs the sessions at GG. Johana is interested in supporting more people to access nature in the city and has helped to evolve the space alongside the families who come to the Outdoor Play sessions.
Bethan is one of the garden session leads at Global Gardens. She is a keen forager and wild mushroom obsessive with an interest in permaculture and sustainable food.
Manon is one of the garden session leads at Global Gardens. She is a keen gardener and loves to learn how to grow her own food. She is also passionate about green urban spaces and how they can bring people together and positively impact local communities.
John is one of the garden session leads at Global Gardens. Recently returned to Cardiff after many years away teaching and travelling.
He loves the outdoors and nature and is keen to learn about growing
and helping others grow.
Cara is student volunteering lead at GG and works with Ella to coordinate activities for the student volunteers.
She enjoys learning more about growing and really values the positive impact the garden has on the community as a whole.
Pax is one of the lead student volunteers at GG. They study Conservation of Objects at Cardiff University and have a keen interest in community landwork.
Abby is one of the student lead volunteers at GG. They are a student at Cardiff University and enjoy learning more about organic gardening and permaculture and sharing this knowledge.
Ruth is retired and is Co-Lead Recipe Card Volunteer.
She is passionate about all things related to food, and is concerned to promote the reduction of food waste.
She has some professional experience as a chef from her youth.
Anna is Co-Lead Recipe Card Volunteer at Global Gardens. She is passionate about everything surrounding Ethnobotany and sustainability.
Kai taught the Grow Your Own course in 2020.
He has thirty years experience in biodynamic gardening and farming and connecting a wide range of people with land work and has helped us develop our veg patch at GG.
Jack supports the arts and crafts activities at Global Gardens.
Jack is a potter with an interest in tableware and throwing on the wheel.
He is also a sourdough baker
