CROP-SHARE

As we enter a second lockdown here in Cardiff, we are kicking off our 'Crop-Share'' initiative. With the uncertainty of things right now, growing veg, cooking nourishing food and staying connected can give comfort and inner strength.

Like Stay Home, Eat Veg' - the initiative we rolled out during the first lockdown between May-July this year, 'Crop Share' is all about crop sharing, recipe sharing and building community connections - but it is also slightly different. This time we are moving away from #stayingathome, encouraging COVID-safe ways of #stayingconnected within the community.

Each week for the next month, we will feature a crop found growing at Global Gardens, alongside recipes based on the crop by local community chefs. We will distribute portions of the crop to different community spaces around the city - including Oasis Cardiff, Tremorfa Pantry and Cathays Community Fridge.

Follow us on social media to find out what the first featured crop is and do let us know if you have any ideas of other community spaces to distribute!

The 'Crop Share' is part of a range of activities happening across Cardiff as part of the Good Food Cardiff Autumn Festival. Find out more about what else is going here.
