LAYING THE PATHS
On Tuesday evening we were joined by 22 spritely folks from Good Gym Cardiff and Colette and Gary from BBC Wales at the garden. With lots of helping hands, we managed to finish the final herb bed, planting out our Comfrey plants into their new homes.
With support from the Greggs Local Environment Fund, we were able to purchase wood-chip which we used to lay the paths in the herb patch. So we now have a herb patch of Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Fennel, Yarrow, Calendula and hopefully Echinacea (if the seeds germinate!)
These herbs are will be used in the Global Gardens monthly community suppers at the Embassy Cafe, Cathays Community Centre on the last Tuesday of the month.
We are also excited about the potential for using the herbs for salves and creams.
