My Tree, Our Forest

We are taking part in the My Tree, Our Forest initiative, a Welsh Government and Coed Cadw project which will offer every household in Wales a tree, free of charge.

Global Gardens Project is one of 50 hubs located across Wales where people can collect their tree.

All trees will be native, broadleaf species that will grow into small-medium sized trees suitable for gardens and smaller spaces, and will come with planting instructions. As they mature they’ll lock up carbon, fight the effects of climate change and support wildlife.

The Global Gardens team will advise members of the public which of the species available through the scheme is most suitable for their space and how to care for their tree.

The hub will be open to the public during the Saturday and Wednesday Volunteer Gardens sessions 10am until 1pm.

To find out more, visit the Woodland Trust website.

We advise anyone wishing to pick up a tree to travel on foot or by bicycle wherever possible.

Site location: We are located just off Whitchurch Road, behind Flaxland Avenue in the Flaxland Allotment site. Please find us on google map - we are the first gateon the left if you approach from Flaxland Avenue down the lane towards Sachville Avenue. Limited parking is available for those with limited mobility.
